When grilled cheese sandwich meets fresh strawberries
delicious things happen

Happy Monday! I know, I know ... nobody's favorite day of the week.
But today I have something special for you. Something that will make you jump right out of bed and forget all about the long week of school or work ahead. Something hearty and filling to start the day in the right direction. And something that is quick and easy, so that nobody will be running late out the door.
Here it is: a grilled cheese sandwich made with two thick slices of brioche bread, spread with Gold 'n Soft, filled with fresh strawberries, cream cheese, a touch of vanilla, a drizzle of honey, AND grilled to perfection.
Sounds soooo good, right?! It sure is!

My boys absolutely love this for breakfast. Who wouldn't love to wake up to one of these sandwiches?!? ...There should be a new name for this insanely delicious piece of goodness. Because it's really not just a sandwich. It's a combination of the best of all food. It's as easy and comforting as grilled cheese. It has the same indulgent flavor of strawberry cheesecake. And it has the same soft-on-the-inside and slight-crunch-on-the-outside amazing texture of French toast.
What more can you ask for?!
Oh yes ... to be ready in 15 minutes or less. Because when breakfast tastes this good, you really don't want to wait for too long to take a bite.

This recipe is super quick and easy. As quick and as easy as spreading Gold 'n Soft on a delicious slice of toast.
We all know that the secret to the best grilled cheese sandwich is in adding a thin layer of butter to the bread before grilling. Or even better, let's make it Gold 'n Soft spread. It has the same great taste of butter, but with no cholesterol, no fully or partially hydrogenated oils, and  zero trans fat.  This easily spreadable vegetable oil spread will make your breakfast quick and your morning more convenient.

Next time you are at your local Ralph's make sure to grab Gold 'n Soft spread to enjoy with your favorite creation. Also available at Smart & Final, Food 4 Less, and Vons. Click here for more locations and recipe inspirations.

INGREDIENTS:

YIELD: 1 sandwich
    • 3 large strawberries, plus a couple of more to serve on the side
    • 3 tablespoons of whipped cream cheese
    • 1 teaspoon of honey
    • few drops of vanilla extract (about 1/8 of a teaspoon)
    • 2 slices of brioche bread (or your favorite bread)
    • 1 tablespoon of  Gold 'n Soft Spread
    • powdered sugar (optional)

PREPARATION:

TIME: 10 minutes
Rinse the strawberries, dry and cut in slices.
In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese with the honey and the vanilla extract.
Heat a nonstick skillet on medium-high. Spread Gold 'n Soft spread on one side of the bread slices. and place both slices butter-side down on the skillet.
Grill for about 2 to 3 minutes, until the one side of the bread is nice and golden.
Decrease the heat to low. Spread the  cream cheese on one slice.
    Top with the sliced strawberries.
And close the sandwich with the other slice of bread (grilled side out).
Grill for an minute or so on the other side if necessary.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar, cut in two triangles and serve right away when still warm with additional strawberries on the side.
    Enjoy!

    2. I went to this place with local friends and we had a blast at venue NYC here. The long happy hour definitely ensures a full upstairs, but I'd recommend the quieter downstairs to enjoy your stuffed burger and fries!
